ABSTRACT
The present study is focused on the similarities of the two Cypriot pre-alphabetic scripts of Bronze Age, that is the Cypro-Minoan and the Cypriot Greek syllabaries. The paper presents the mainstream views on the nature of these scripts that the former is considered undeciphered, their decipherment attempts by linguists, and the computational approaches for this purpose. Subsequently, two linguistic theories are discussed for the scripts' nature and the assignment of the corresponding phonetic values, namely, the Cretan and the Cypriot Protolinear scripts........

ABSTRACT
Travel planning often requires users to search across multiple fragmented platforms for accommodations, restaurants, and attractions, resulting in inefficient information retrieval and limited contextual continuity. This study proposes FLYBY, a real-time conversational travel recommendation system that integrates a large language model (LLM), a mobile messenger interface, and external travel service APIs within a unified architecture. The proposed system employs a Kotlin-based Jetpack Compose client, Firebase for real-time synchronization and authentication, and a FastAPI server that performs semantic analysis.......

ABSTRACT
Camera-guided two-wheeled self-balancing robots combine an open-loop unstable, underactuated platform with a perception pipeline that is delayed, intermittent, and sensitive to scene changes. Reliable target following therefore depends on coordinated modeling, estimation, control, visual servoing, tracking, and embedded implementation. This review develops a control-oriented synthesis of recent and foundational work on robot dynamics, PID and LQR stabilization, robust and fuzzy control, MPC and NMPC, learning-assisted control, object detection, multi-object tracking, sensor fusion, and edge deployment........

ABSTRACT
This study explores the application of Pareto analysis in identifying critical failure components within a steam power plant system. Using historical maintenance and failure data collected over a ten-year period (2004–2013), major plant components—including steam turbine blades, boiler gas burner filters, feedwater valves, and generator transformers—were analyzed to determine their contribution to overall system failures. The Pareto principle (80/20 rule) was employed to rank components based on failure frequency and impact on plant downtime.........

ABSTRACT
Critical components of a steam turbine system using failure rate and reliability models over a ten-year period (2004–2013). The components investigated include low-pressure steam turbine reaction blades, boiler gas burner filters, and generator transformers. Historical operational data were analyzed to evaluate system performance using the exponential reliability function and failure rate trends. The results indicate that the turbine blades maintained high reliability with slight evidence of degradation due to mechanical and thermal stresses.........

ABSTRACT
Reliable electric power supply is essential for economic growth and sustainable development. However, the Nigerian power distribution sector continues to experience frequent outages and poor service reliability. This study evaluates the reliability performance of the Ikorodu Distribution Network under Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company (IKEDC), Nigeria. Twelve months of outage data were analyzed using standard reliability indices including System Average Interruption Duration Index (SAIDI), System Average Interruption Frequency Index (SAIFI), Customer Average Interruption Duration Index.......

ABSTRACT
This study presents a criticality assessment and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) framework for improving the operational performance of distribution substation assets within the Ikorodu Distribution Network. Historical outage records were analyzed to evaluate component failure rates, outage durations, availability, and annual outage contributions. Criticality ranking was performed using reliability indices and outage impact assessments. Results indicate that transformers, fuses, and outgoing feeders are the most critical........

ABSTRACT
Convolutional interpolation is widely used in digital signal processing because of its computational efficiency and suitability for real-time applications. The interpolation accuracy strongly depends on the characteristics of the applied interpolation kernel. This paper presents the construction and parameterization of a polynomial seventh-order two-parameter (2P) interpolation kernel, which, to the best of the authors' knowledge, has not been previously described in the scientific literature. The kernel is formulated as a set of piecewise seventh-order polynomials subject to the required constraints at the interpolation nodes.......

ABSTRACT
This study develops a simulation-driven decision-support framework to reduce post-nominal residence time, termed net overstay, in a Type II anodizing line constrained by tank occupancy, hoist access, and shared-rail interactions. A discrete-event model of parallel tanks and four order-preserving hoists combines the S7 operational-risk dispatching rule with Simulated Annealing for daily load-entry sequencing. Five production days comprising 549 loads were evaluated under four random seeds and two dispatching rules, resulting in 40 optimization runs and 40,000 candidate evaluations........
